Arijit Dev (Stage name: Dev Arijit, dev@rijit) is an Indian musician, Vocalist, Composer, and Music producer. He debuted his playback career in 2016 in the Bengali music industry followed by several other Bengali movies. In 2017 he sang his first Bollywood Playback in Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz. Dev predominantly being an Indian classical musician tends to collaborate with musicians of different genres and will be continuing this effort to come up with experimental musical experiences. In the year 2013, after assisting Tollywood music composer Arindom, he moved to Mumbai, the home of the Bollywood industry from his hometown Berhampore to assist renowned music director Pritam. After that, He started assisting Arijit Singh, one of the greatest voices and minds in the contemporary Indian music industry. Meanwhile, he has sung his first playback at Tollywood with famous music director Indraadip Dasgupta. He is a former band member of Arijit Singh Live. 2021 onwards & still Dev is assisting Pritam as Vocal Designer and had worked in movies like Lal Singh Chaddha, Rocky and Rani ki Prem Kahani, Brahamastra, Tu Jhooti Main Makkar, 83, etc. He won Mirchi Music Awards 2023 for the “Best Raaga Inspired Song of the Year”, Won Mirchi Music Awards 2023 for “The Best Album” for Lal Singh Chaddha & also got nominated in Bengali Filmfare for Best Singer in 2023.
