His musical journey took root after graduating from Cotton College, leading him to Swarnabhumi Academy of Music (SAM), Chennai.

His collaborations extend far and wide, working alongside esteemed artists such as Sonu Nigam, and Arijit Singh, among others. Notably, Saikia’s pioneering initiative involves harmonizing Borgeets with the symphonic orchestra, showcasing his innovative approach to music composition.

His accolades stand as a testament to his prowess, securing awards such as the Silver Medal for Best Original Score in III Smoking Barrels, Prag Cine Awards for Best Music Director, and Best Music Direction in films like III Smoking Barrels and Shinyor.
