Raja Narayan Deb

 Raja Narayan Deb, an eminent music composer originally from Kolkata and now based in Mumbai, has carved a notable niche in the film industry, creating impactful scores for diverse genres. With a rich musical heritage and early exposure to legends like Salil Chowdhury, he brings a unique flair to his compositions. Collaborating with luminaries such as Rituparno Ghosh and Sujoy Ghosh, he has also ventured into theater, contributing to productions like “Mourning Becomes Elektra ” (produced by the Bill Gates Foundation)  and “Navrasa.” (Judith Macdonell for the Upper Canada College). Noteworthy projects include collaborations with Sujoy Ghosh, Javed Akhtar, and Tisca Chopra for projects like “Typewriter” (Netflix), “Parchhayee” (Zee5), and “Uma” (unreleased feature)

Raja’s versatile portfolio includes ad films, jingles, and television programs, earning him accolades like the National Radio Mirchi Award for best song based on a raag for the film “Kashmakash” (Mukta Arts),  and Best Music Director at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival for “AndarKahini,” and the Anandalok Award for best music director for “Bhooter Bhobishot.”.  Raja Narayan Deb has also received the Radio Mirchi award regionally for best music production for three consecutive years and the title of Music Producer of the Decade, he is also the music producer for the recent hit “Lust Stories S2”.
