Roland Fernandes

Roland Fernandes is a Mumbai-based guitarist and bassist. He started out playing in Church and a few Mumbai-based Gospel Bands. For the past nine years, he has been touring the country and globe with some of the greats like Arijit Singh, Salim-Sulaiman, Neha Kakkar, Ankit Tiwari, Nakash Aziz, Amaal Malik, Armaan Malik, Shalmali Kholgade, Nikhita Gandhi, Mithoon, Siddharth Mahadevan and many more.

Since 2016, he has been touring with one of the most successful music directors in the industry Pritam Chakraborty, across the US, UK, Europe, and Asia.

Roland is also a seasoned session musician and has worked with Music Directors such as AR Rahman, Pritam Chakraborty, Amaal Malik, Sunny MR, and many more. He has recorded Guitars and Bass for over 40 Films as well as a number of Background scores for Bollywood and other regional films like Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi. He has also recorded with AR Rahman for the background score of the international film ‘Blinded by the Light’

Popular songs that he has strummed the guitar for include Channa Mereya, Bulleya, Dangal, Ik Vaari Aa, Chale Aana, Hawayein, Kalank, and  Jeetega Jeetega. Apart from this, Roland has worked on ad jingles for companies like Dell, Karbonn Mobile, and more.
